Artists…
Artist living in places like SoHo and the like, are there because of the community, the environment that is friendly and inspiring to them…all the other artist.
It doesn't mean that artists there paint or sculpt in the same theme or on the same canvases…right?
Same applies with writers. Not all writers write or contribute to the same book. But writers do tend to congregate (hang) with other writers for the same reasons as artists do; inspiration and like persons.

I like writing. I like writing here (Epics) and have through the years tried to write (fit) here in a canon Star Wars environment. But I can't pull away from my own creativity to expand on this universe. I find it difficult to retain my muse for this character in a canon environment.
But it is this community and environment that has always drawn me here. It's the caliber of the writers.
This is the environment, the people I wish to be part of, regardless if I am not writing on the same page.
What I mean is, I wish to write here, this character, but in an alternate Star Wars Universe.
I think I have found the corner which I can write as I like, outside of canon. It's in 'Mirror World'.

Please, don't think that I don't wish to write in the main tales like you all do. I do.
But for reasons stated, I can't seem to stay mused in writing canon. At least not for this character. I've written her for so long, I cannot see changing her world to something I can no longer recognize myself. Her bio is at the extent that I tried pushing her back into canon. But again, I failed due to my own limits. Therefore, she doesn't fit in the main tales.
But I wish to continue her tales, her adventures and further development in an alternate Star Wars universe. Here. I wish to write/develop her (Karlie) here at Epics because of the writing environment that keeps me inspired.

I don't know how else to explain this.
But I am here to stay. Just not in the main tales that others are currently writing. I wish to continue writing Karlie here in Mirror World.
If anyone finds interest in doing some writing or cameos in her alternate universe, then you are welcome. But there are boundaries to this alternate universe also. Some are already set, while future ones are based on new writing, by me or new interested writers in this alternate universe.
And if it comes to be that I am alone in this; then that is OK too. I already write another accepted character that fits a canon Star Wars and that is my direct connection to other writers here in tales.
 I'm here to write (speaking as a writer) in both forms, as I reside in your neighborhood.. Much like an artist does in a community like SoHo.

There is no explanation needed.

If you like it here, it's what we wanted. A place where people with same or similiar interests can communicate. No need to be in the main tales. Some members post just in the OOCs, others just in the stories.
