These guys are INCREDIBLE. For starters they're all Curtis conservatory graduates, and Curtis is one of the top music schools in the world… you have to be incredible just to get in.

I have their whole CD… it's super awesome. Love this particular cover though, and it always makes me think of Lane Jourdan because she introduced me to Imogen Heap.

Because I frakking love Elbow and they have a new album FINALLY coming out in March (and hopefully a tour in the States next year).

Holy cow!!! I had never heard of Elbow before, but I loved that. Thanks Mischa!!!!

I'm gonna go look to see if I like their other stuff. Loved the instruments and the singer in this video.

You're welcome.  Leto's the one who got me listening to them in the first place a while back.  Their entire Seldom Seen Kid album is one of my desert island picks.   Guy Garvey (the singer) writes most of their stuff as well and I do adore him much.

The melody reminds me of Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews, only better.

This girl is super cool. I'm not really 'into' screamo metal, although I've listened to it from time to time, but I love this girl because she does it with good technique. You can tell because in her interviews she has a perfectly normal speaking voice, so she hasn't caused herself any (major) vocal damage like most screamo singers do.

Anywho, a band that I listen to all of the time is Kamelot. Love it because it combines metal-rock with an operatic tenor. Although he's not singing 'operatically' persay, he was trained, has great technique, and has a great voice.

I love Adele! One thing I think is awesome about her is that she just completely wails and screams in the studio, doing all kinds of crazy things… but when she sings live she does it with great technique. She's a wild child for sure.
