I was shocked as I learnt Friday night about the events in Paris. Just wanting to know how the game Germany - France ended, I checked Twitter and there were tons of news about the terrible attacks in the city.

My thoughts are with the ones who lost family or friends.

A lot of people use the hashtag #prayforParis. I know it's a good intention behind it, but religious fanatics like the IS fighters brought this tragedy, so praying seems not right to me.

I'll go with "Nous sommes Paris" (We are Paris) because it's not an attack on Paris or France, but on our way of life. It could have been everyone of us… at a restaurant, on the street, at a concert or a football game.

Let's stand united against the tyranny of fantatics, who trying to force others into their restricted way of thinking. If we show fear, they will win.

And we shouldn't forget the attack in Beirut the day before, that the media has pretty much ignored.

Yes, we shouldn't. It was mentioned here in the news too.

Re: My thoughts to the Paris attacks

What happened in Beirut and Paris was horrible. I heard about Paris first but Beirut was mentioned eventually.

I agree with you, Corran, about not showing fear. Fear is always a bad position to operate from.
